I am an undergraduate in the school of Arts and Sciences at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY and am originally from Stow, MA.  I entered the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences as an entomology major in fall of 2003, but later switched to majoring in biology with a concentration in neurobiology and behavior.  My expected date of graduation is May 2008.  I'm planning to go to graduate school in neurobiology and behavior after graduation, and am applying in the fall of the upcoming year.   
I am an Ph.D. student in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI.  I graduated with Honors in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Neurobiology and Behavior from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY in May 2008.
 
My primary interest in contributing to the Citizendium is in the field of animal behavior; however, I've contributed to articles on Wikipedia in other areas of biology, chemistry, and physics, and expect to do so here as well.  I am also interested in scientific classification.  My organisms of choice generally belong to the class ''Insecta''.  As for nonscientific interests, anime, manga, and other aspects of Japanese popular culture are a hobby of mineI am also an avid reader of both fiction and non fiction.


My primary interest in contributing to the  Citizendium is in the field of neurobiology and behavior; however, I've contributed to articles on Wikipedia in other areas of biology, chemistry, and physics, and expect to do so here as well.  I am also interested in scientific classification.  My organisms of choice generally belong to the class ''Insecta,'' although I have an interest in herpetology as well.  As for nonscientific interests, I am a member and part of the executive board of the Cornell Japanese Animation Society.  Anime, manga, and other aspects of Japanese popular culture are a hobby of mine.  I enjoy it as entertainment, and am also interested in how they reflect the way that Japan views her social problems as well as her role in history as an aggressor.  I am also an avid reader of both fiction and non fiction, and am always happy to contribute information about various authors and works that I have come across.
