Could you suggest an overall term that covers not just British, but (principally) underground rail systems generally? As you may know, the Washington DC Metrorail system just had its worst accident; if I write about that, I'd like to point to a top-level article for which I don't have a good name. Metrorail is actually closely modeled after the San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit System, although it stole the name from the Paris Metro. Of course, the New York subway is iconic, if a shock to visitors.
Incidentally, we've been generally putting transportation systems into the Engineering workgroup as well as the geographic and other ones; may I suggest that for your rail articles? [[User:Howard C. Berkowitz|Howard C. Berkowitz]] 16:01, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
:Tell Tom that only the binary system is natural. He has ten binary counting mechanisms, not a system of ten fingers. At best, he has four base five counters. :-) [[User:Howard C. Berkowitz|Howard C. Berkowitz]] 16:03, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

Undergrounds
Howard C. Berkowitz 16:01, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

Let me know what you think of Earth's atmosphere
Tom, since nobody has jumped at the chance to create an Earth's atmosphere article, I went ahead and did it myself. Let me know what you think of it (on its Talk page). Milton Beychok 19:18, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
