Formal education
BS in Computer Science, Portland State University, with a minor in geology.
Work
I currently work as a software architect and developer (it's a small department), on a path to specializing as a usability guru. To answer the obvious followup question, Citizendium's expertise principle only applies to article content. But I'm trying to do what I can.
Major defineable interests
Languages; interaction between humans and machines; science fiction/fantasy and its community; geology and paleontology; cognitive and situational psychology; history outside of Western civilization. (Nothing against Western civilization, it's just that I get bored hearing about the same stuff over and over again.)
Other interests
Peter Cook put it best: "I am specializing in the Universe and all that surrounds it."
