Dialect continuum, duplication of information?

Since there is a separate Dialect_continuum page which is extensive, would it be possible to shorten the section here, which seems to define what a continuum is? It seems to me that there may be considerable duplication of effort here.Pat Palmer 15:12, 8 April 2007 (CDT)
