My intention is to tone down almost all sections in the article to the bare minimum and redirect the reader to the corresponding "See Also" link for details. This way, the article can be short without being sparse, but not too verbose. Moreover, I think this will compel a more "portal" based approach to the development or modification of the article as we go along.

This is the talk page for the article on the city of Mumbai, India. The initial draft of this article has been seeded from the corresponding piece in Wikipedia. However, some minor language and composition changes have been made, though the structure is still the same. I took the liberty of removing all images, templates and disambug links - the 2 latter since they are still not up; Shall reinsert them once they are created (by someone??!!). As far as images, no offence to the original contributors, but this was done primarily to get a new crop of pictures from some one enthusiastic enough - if TINA (there is no alternative!!!), I guess we could revert back some of the old Wikipedia images.

TO DO

  • Include a "main" template when it is ready on CZN. Currently I am using the default "See Also" format.

A section on "Tourism and Landmarks"

That should be interesting!!! Any thoughts anyone???

Wikimapia params for Mumbai on Wikimapia template fine tuned

I have changed the params seeded from WP to include as much of the island city on a single snap shot, since the article is on the entire city including salsette, rather than just the island city.

A "Mumbai in popular culture" section

Planning to write a "Mumbai in popular culture" featuring a list of all prominent literary, cinematic and artistic (Indian as well as international) references to Mumbai, the city.

Any inputs anyone?!
