Welcome to the Citizendium! We hope you will contribute boldly and well. Here are pointers for a quick start, and see Getting Started for other helpful "startup" links, our help system and CZ:Home for the top menu of community pages. You can test out editing in the sandbox if you'd like. If you need help to get going, the forum is one option. That's also where we discuss policy and proposals. You can ask any user or the editors for help, too. Just put a note on their "talk" page. Again, welcome and have fun! See CZ:Discipline Workgroups to add yourself to whichever author workgroups you choose. -- David Tribe 17:12, 11 April 2007 (CDT)

Welcome

Hey, welcome to Citizendium! :) Don't forget to add the CZ:Authors category to your user page, as well as the workgroups you plan to be involved in. You may want to remove the notices at the top of this page after you've read them, too. Time to get to work on Apple Inc. hehe ;) --Joshua David Williams 19:06, 11 April 2007 (CDT)

THERE IS SOMETHING WEIRD GOING ON WITH BADIMAGE TEMPLATE AND YOUR PAGE, BE PATIENT David Tribe 20:50, 12 April 2007 (CDT)

Hey. I don't see where to put in any copyright data, though I did explain where it came from on the image's page. "A black Apple Logo. I made it via shift-control-k." Us Mac users can press shift-control-k to make an Apple logo in "text". I made this by taking a screenshot of that at 999 pt. I don't think there are copyrights on that...are there? The copyright information goes in the panel for descriptive notes you see when you do the upload.

You should ask your self with every image do I have EXPLICIT copyright permission, or proof of Public domain status David Tribe 19:48, 12 April 2007 (CDT) Constable

Copyright

The Apple Logo may be copyrighted. But it can be used (I understand) in an article about Apple under "fair use". You should state this clearly under the image.

The onus is on YOU to ensure there are no copyright issues. If you do not follow this advice, it may result in your user rights being withdrawn. We do this to protect Citizendium against legal action.

It is very important to learn about copyright issues. We enforce this issue very strongly, and you need to be careful.
