Liberal republicans?
In the politics section it says Republicans who were MA governors were more liberal ones, but it's not very true. William Weld maybe a little bit liberal (that's why I supported him in the New York gubernatorial election in 2006 but he withdrew), but Paul Celluci and Mitt Romney are both hard-core conservatives (Romney even runs for presidency on an ultra-conservative platform now). - Romney has moved sharply to the right since he announced for president--it is widely commented upon; he was a liberal Republican as governor, as was Celucci on many issues. Richard Jensen 13:50, 23 June 2007 (CDT)
