The Jass–Belote type games as a group are discussed briefly on John McLeod's Card Games website under the heading Jass Group, and in David Parlett's The Penguin Book of Card Games (3rd edition 2008; the title of the 2nd edition was Penguin Encyclopedia of Card Games) in the one-page introduction to the chapter on Jack–Nine games. Another good source for several games (in French) is Jean-François Bustarret's Jeux de Cartes.net.
