Emmanuel Jean-Michel Frédéric Macron (born 21st December 1977) has been the President of France and Co-Prince of Andorra since 14th May 2017. He previously served as a minister in the Socialist government of his predecessor François Hollande, but did not hold elected office until after his victory over Marine Le Pen in the race to become the French Head of State. He formed his own party, En Marche! ('Forward!') in April 2016. Before entering politics, he worked as an investment banker for Rothschild.
