William Livingston (1723–1790) a major political figure in colonial New York City in the 1750s and 1760s, the first Governor of the State of New Jersey from 1776 to 1790, and a member of the New Jersey delegations to the First and Second Continental Congress from 1774 to 1776 and the Constitutional Convention in 1787.
