A carnivore is an animal that eats other animals in its primary diet. A [[cow]], which exclusively eats plants, would not be a carnivore, but [[lion]]s and [[tiger]]s would be carnivores. The size of the animal does not matter, ants too can be carnivorous.
A carnivore is any animal that feeds predominantly on other animals in its primary diet (e.g. [[lion]], [[tiger]], [[dog]]). An animal may be a carnivore regardless of its size; an ant, for example, can be carnivorous.

If an animal eats plants as well as animals, it is called an [[omnivore]], and not a carnivore.
