The Compilation of Final Fantasy VII is a mini-series of games and one movie in the Final Fantasy series that are all set in the same storyline as Final Fantasy VII.

- Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core: A game for the Playstation Portable set seven years before the start of Final Fantasy VII which tells the story of Zack Fair up until his death.
- Final Fantasy VII: Before Crisis: A game for mobile phones set six years before the start of Final Fantasy VII which tells the story of the Turks and AVALANCHE. Never released outside of Japan.
- Final Fantasy VII: The original game
- Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children: A CGI-animated movie set two years after the end of Final Fantasy VII which tells the story of the main party members of the main game after the events that occured in it.
- Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus: A game for Playstation 2 set one year after Advent Children and three years after Final Fantasy VII which tells the story of Vincent Valentine. Through the use of flashbacks, the game shows the events of thirty years before Final Fantasy VII in order to show Vincent Valentine's early life.
