Jewish gangs

The distinction that is trying to be made here is that the Purple Gang was almost entirely Jewish as opposed to members of other gangs one or two of whom (such as Lansky) happened to be Jewish. Only if we claim that all Jews are gangsters or that there is some Jewish trait towards gangsterism, a claim which I do not think this article makes. It was certainly not my intention to make any such claim; neither was it my intention to make any comparison with White Argentine. The Purple Gang was a gang led by some Jewish brothers, just as O'Banion was an Irish gangster, and Al Capone was an Italian gangster. If there are any claims in this article towards essentialism or racism please identify and/or correct. Thanks. Jones, 18:15, 23 December 2011 (UTC)
