This article has no death date, but the NY Times has what may be an obit of Touchard in its Sept. 6, 1918, edition, but the text isn't available online; it'll have to be looked up in a library's microfilm. Times article Jun. 18, 1917, indicated he had gone to Canada to train as an aviator after the American military rejected him. It didn't say why it rejected him, but possible it was in connection with his 1915 arrest and conviction for stealing $140 worth of golf balls from Abercrombie Fitch, by which he was employed.
