Category:All media: Difference between revisions

Media on the Citizendium is categorized two ways:

"High-free", "Intermediate-free", and "Non-free"

Note that each of these are color coded:

• Templates with green backgrounds are tagged to media considered High-free—media under varied licenses that allow both derivatives and commercial usages.
• Templates with yellow backgrounds are tagged to media considered Intermediate-free—media under varied licenses that in some way restrict either or both derivatives and commercial usages.
• Templates with red backgrounds are are tagged to media considered Non-free—media that is generally copyrighted and used by permission and in some way restrict usages outside of the Citizendium.

Examples include

• All Creative Commons licenses
• All Public Domain media
• All GFDL licenses

NOTE: Templates with blue backgrounds are considered Informative—these in some way inform about additional information or requests.
