Railroads
After the Civil War, the railroads flourished and in some parts hurt the farmers. The federal government back then subsidized the railroad companies. What was Sumner's attitude toward these railroads? The article doesn't even mention anything about it. Yi Zhe Wu 09:52, 18 June 2007 (CDT)
- only the western RR got subsidies to build in uninhabited areas. The GOP strongly supported the land grants...I can't receall Sumner commenting on the issue. The Massachusetts RR did not get subsidies. Richard Jensen 13:37, 18 June 2007 (CDT)
- Thanks, by the way, does the picture I uploaded need lighting-up? Yi Zhe Wu 13:48, 18 June 2007 (CDT)

CZ Live?
I mean it is tagged CZ Live in the text and External in the checklist. Since this looks like a contradiction, after skimming the history I removed CZ Live. If the authors feel otherwise, please do revert and adjust the checklist entry. --Aleksander Stos 11:01, 27 June 2007 (CDT)
