Trenton, New Jersey is the capital city in the U.S. state of New Jersey and the seat of Mercer County. The city lies on the Delaware River across from the northeastern suburbs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The city has about 90,000 people, nearly half of which are African American and more than one-third Hispanic. The greater urban area has around 368,000 people.
