Maribor is the second largest city in Slovenia (after Ljubljana) with a population of about 114,000. It is the seat of the Maribor urban municipality and the center of the Slovenian region of Lower Styria. It is located on the Drava river in the northeastern part of Slovenia, at the meeting point of the Pohorje mountain, the Kozjak mountain, the Drava valley and the Slovenske Gorice hill range.
