Comments

Rape is often a big, if under-reported, factor in war. It used to be that raping and pillaging was one of the reasons for going to war, that is, it was seen as a quasi-reward for victory, an incentive of sorts. This topic is generally avoided in most history textbooks I've come across -- they all want to sanitize the subject.--Thomas Wright Sulcer 04:23, 4 April 2010 (UTC)
