David Pryor is a member of the board of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. As a Democrat from Arkansas, he spent three terms in the U.S. Senate, three terms in the U.S. House of Representatives, once as Governor, and six years in the State legislature. After retiring from the Senate, he served at the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service, and spent two years at he was Director of the John F. Kennedy School of Government's Institute of Politics at Harvard University.

Before entering politics, he was in the private practice of law, and also established and published a local newspaper.
