Harvard University is an university located in Massachusetts, United States. It is the oldest and widely considered the best institution of higher education in the U.S. and one of the finest in the world. Harvard University was founded in 1636 and was named after John Harvard, a cleric and philanthropist. The current president of Harvard is Drew Gilpin Faust, a historian.
