A triathlon is a three part sporting event of swimming, biking and running. The four main types of triathlon are sprint, classic/olympic, half-ironman, and ironman.

The length (in kilometers) of each leg of each type of triathlon are as follows:

Swim Bike Run
Sprint 750K 20K 5K
Classic/Olympic 1.5K 40K 10K
Half-Ironman 1.9K 90K 21K
Ironoman 3.8K 180K 42.2K
