Fludarabine monophosphate, an analog of adenosine.

In medicine, fludarabine is a medication that is a antineoplastic agent. It is approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for the palliative treatment chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). It is structurally related to the naturally occuring base adenosine-monophosphate used in both DNA and RNA, but it contains a fluorine atom and the geometry of the ribose ring at position 2' is reversed from that of normal DNA.
