Greetings!

My name is Michael W. Towns, and I am genuinely excited and thrilled to be a part of Citizendium.

I was born and raised in Florida, spent a few years in Georgia, and am now living in Salt Lake City, Utah.

My wife, Sarah, is pursuing her Ph.D in biomedical engineering at the University of Utah. She wants to eventually help design neural prosthetics that interact seamlessly with human neural tissues. (So, essentially, she's super smart and quite sexy.)

As for myself, I'm graduating in six weeks with a B.S. degree in Information Studies from Florida State University. Currently, I work professionally as a production manager for a small manufacturing company, but I am looking for something else to do to bring home the bacon.

I am 100% committed to learning and education. That's one of the main reasons why I was drawn to Wikipedia a few years ago, and my passion for learning new things will definitely carry over to CZ. As for personal interests, I am obsessed with the game of chess, with learning several foreign languages, and with ancient near eastern cultures. I expect to be very much involved with those particular subjects here on CZ.
