'Darlene' is a song by English rock group Led Zeppelin.
Overview
It was recorded at Polar Studios in Stockholm, Sweden during a In Through the Out Door session on 16 November 1978. Due to space constraints, the song was not included on In Through the Out Door. It was left unreleased until 1982, when it was eventually included on the album Coda (album)|Coda. It was one of three songs recorded at Polar Studios which were omitted from In Through the Out Door and later released on Coda, the other two being 'Ozone Baby' and 'Wearing and Tearing'.[1] John Paul Jones plays a Steinway grand piano on this track.
This is the only song from the In Through the Out Door sessions which was credited to all four members of the band. It was never played live at Led Zeppelin concerts.[2]
