Agnosticism

agnosticism is the position that is not possible to know if God exists or not. Unlike an athiest, who is prepared to say definitely that God does not exist, an agnostic takes the view that the answer to this question is unknowable. The concept of agosticism is an old one, but the word itself is a comparatively recent one. It was coined in 1870 by English philosopher T.H. Huxley, from the Greek a- "not" and "gnostos"-(to be) known[1]
