Newspeak

Newspeak is a fictional variant of the English language, from George Orwell's dystopian novel, Nineteen Eighty-Four. In the book, it was a systematic way of forcing the "IngSoc" totalitarian ideology, by creating "a medium of expression for the world-view and mental habits proper to the devotees of IngSoc, but to make all other modes of thought impossible. It has entered the language as any kind of 'propagandistic language marked by euphemism, circumlocution, and the inversion of customary meanings'.
