Dr. Hugues Lantuit is senior researcher at the Alfred Wegener Institute for Polar and Marine Research in Potsdam, Germany. He is the leader of the International Permafrost Association Secretariat and has led five expeditions to the Canadian Arctic. His specialty is the coastal erosion of permafrost coasts and related permafrost and thermokarst processes.
