User talk:Elaine Wang
Welcome!
Welcome to the Citizendium! We hope you will contribute boldly and well. Here are pointers for a quick start. You'll probably want to know how to get started as an author. Just look at CZ:Getting Started for other helpful "startup" links, and CZ:Home for the top menu of community pages. Be sure to stay abreast of events via the Citizendium-L (broadcast) mailing list (do join!) and the blog. Please also join the workgroup mailing list(s) that concern your particular interests. You can test out editing in the sandbox if you'd like. If you need help to get going, the forums is one option. That's also where we discuss policy and proposals. You can ask any constable for help, too. Me, for instance! Just put a note on their "talk" page. Again, welcome and have fun! D. Matt Innis 16:20, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
Hi
i saw a few of your recent edits. Let me know if you need any help with the metadata and subpages concept. Also, Rosalind Franklin is a sorely needed article. I'm sure if you get it started you will get some good collaboration from the other biologists here. Chris Day 17:37, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
- Hey Elaine, glad to see a new Chemistry writer. You might find this page CZ:Chemistry style guide useful in the future.
Drop me a note on my talk page if you need any help. David E. Volk 21:23, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
Thanks
Hi Elaine, you're absolutely right about "the nice thing about a small project." Thanks for starting Polypeptide! --Larry Sanger 04:33, 19 March 2009 (UTC)

Originally it was a quick design to fill a need (to indicate an articles status). We thought something else would replace it, but I guess we got used to it. So now it is everywhere you look. We should remove that text from the image page as it obviously contradicts reality. Chris Day 02:14, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
- You might find this section useful, in fact, the whole page. Chris Day 03:20, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
Stub-starter
First time I've seen that role, good one. Note that another good role is the definition writer. On the Related Articles subpage you will find we use the {{R}} template a lot. One thing it does is to call on the definition subpage. If the definition does not exist it requests that a short description or definition is added. Chris Day 02:25, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
