Francis Crick (8th June 1916 - 28th July 2004) was a Nobel-winning British biologist. In 1953, Crick and James D. Watson discovered the double-helical structure of DNA, and both won the Nobel Prize in Medicine in 1962 for this discovery which fundamentally shifted the course of biology.
