APACHE II (Acute Physiology And Chronic Health Evaluation) is a method commonly used in medicine and critical care for predicting the severity of illness. It was first developed in 1985[1] and is available online.[2] A score from 0 to 71 is computed based on several different parameters and the higher the score the more severe the disease and associated risk of death.
