In the English language, the abc's refers to the set of 26 written letters of the English alphabet in alphabetic order from A to Z. The English written letters are a subset of the Roman alphabet. In English, the abc's include five vowels (A, E, I, O, U), 19 consonants, and two letters (W and Y) that can act as either a consonant or a vowel, depending on context.
