Known for responsible for much of the Toronto Transit Commission's official photographs

Eric Trussler was a Toronto photographer responsible for much of the Toronto Transit Commission's official photographs, for several decades, in the late 20th Century.[1][2] His photographs are regularly featured in retrospectives of Toronto, and its growth.[3][4]

Trussler was never an employee of the TTC, but the TTC was his major client when he operated his own independent photography business, Eric Trussler Photography, and he spent considerable time on TTC projects when he was an employee of Canada Pictures Ltd and Ken Bell Photography.[5]

He’s the opposite of Wiley, who wasn’t really that great a photographer. In Trussler, you can notice smart little things like overexposing slightly, making the images a little hi-tone.”
