In biochemistry, prostaglandin-endoperoxide synthases are "enzyme complexes that catalyze the formation of prostaglandins from the appropriate unsaturated fatty acids, molecular oxygen, and a reduced acceptor.[1]
An example of a prostaglandin-endoperoxide synthase is cyclooxygenase 2.
