Built in 1925, Scarborough Fire Hall 1 was Scarborough, Ontario's first fire hall and continued in operation until 1998, the year Scarborough was amalgamated into Toronto, Ontario.[1][2] The fire hall also served as the headquarters for the Scarborough Police Department. Initially the department was staffed by volunteers, and the first Fire Chief was also Scarborough's Chief of Police.
In 2008 the structure was turned into a firefighting museum.[3]
