• PAM Dirac (1982). Principles of quantum mechanics, 4th ed. Oxford University Press. ISBN 9780198520115.  A basic exposition of the subject by the Nobel prize winner, introducing the apparatus based upon bra-ket notation.
• Richard Phillips Feynman, Robert B. Leighton, Matthew Linzee Sands (2005). The Feynman lectures on physics, Vol. 3, Paperback version of 1971 ed. Addison Wesley. ISBN 9780201021189.  A very successful and popular undergraduate introduction.
