- I went ahead and wrote the copyright holder, Marshall Kirk McKusick, to request permission to use the logo.
Hello, I, along with a small group of other individuals, are writing articles about the mascots of free operating systems for Citizendium. May we please include a high quality image of the BSD Daemon in the article? And, of course, any suggestions you have on the article would be very welcome. :) Thank you, Joshua David Williams http://www.citizendium.org/ http://en.citizendium.org/wiki/BSD_Daemon http://en.citizendium.org/wiki/User:Joshua_David_Williams -- ~~ In a world without walls and fences, who needs Windows and Gates? ~~

- Yes good call. I got burned over at Image_talk:MOS_6502.jpg for making assumptions about image re-use from Wikipedia --Eric M Gearhart 10:24, 12 April 2007 (CDT)
I just received a reply :) See here for permission info --Joshua David Williams 18:34, 13 April 2007 (CDT)
Trident, not Triton.
I think you should correct the name of the implement to Trident. Triton is the name of the deity, and his implement is called a trident. Also, the trident is not quite the same as a pitchfork. A pitchfork is a farm implement, whereas a trident is used by fishermen. -- Jussi-Ville Heiskanen 03:24, 23 February 2008 (CST)
