BeOS
A link to this frenchman Jean-Louis Gassée and Steve Sakoman, both formerly from Apple that used to work on mac os and left apple to create his own OS might be nice - mentioning he was deep into the mac OS when creating BeOS. (I forgot his name but it should be available somewhere). This connect is interesting since Jobs with his NeXt also originated from Apple and would seem a nice detail since after the return of Jobs things changed for the better for Apple. Corrections
- Since 10.5 OS X isn't "Unix-like", but actually a (certified) Unix.
- I'm fairly sure the screenshot is from 10.4 Tiger, and not from 10.5 Leopard.
- Front Row wasn't a new feature in 10.5 - it was upgraded, but it has definitely been in 10.4 already, probably earlier versions as well.
- The exact release date of 10.5 was October 26.
I don't yet feel confident enough to update the article directly and mess with someone else's work, maybe someone else feels a bit bolder. --Tom Vogt 07:42, 31 January 2008 (CST)
