As a filmmaker, since 1973, I have made numerous 16 m.m. films. My work has been presented at major venues including Pittsburgh and New York City; Europe, Latin America, and Japan. After a hiatus of many years, I have been making DVDs, which are disseminated to friends in several countries.

As a health care worker, a politically powerful physician has said that I am "a Registered Nurse who works where doctors fear to tread. I have done extensive work in the Bowery, Central Harlem, and the South Bronx; Nicaragua and Swaziland -- the epicenter of the global AIDS epidemic.
