From 1997 until 2003, I studied computer science and electronics engineering with a specialization in Telecoms and Signal Processing in a French university (ESEO, Angers, France) to a Master of Science level. Among the subjects studied, those relevant to my current career are: SQL and Databases, UNIX systems, programming, signal processing, coding theory, cryptography, networking, telecoms, radio-frequencies, and theory of antennae. A first professional experience as an internship student in Paris, in 2001, provided me a better insight into web programming, especially PHP, HTML and JavaScript, and user interfaces. This knowledge proved helpful in the Netherlands in 2002 for developing another web-based application aiming at Radio-Frequency engineers inside a telecoms company. From October 2003 until May 2004, I moved to Bangkok, Thailand, for developing a web-based warehousing and reporting application that would help monitoring a Thai GSM and GPRS network. From June 2004 until January 2007, I have provided reporting services to a GSM, GPRS, EDGE and UMTS operator in Brussels, Belgium, extending my scope of work to the coordination of technical operations (following-up projects and making sure that trials of new technologies or rollout of new software on the network don’t occur at the same place at the same time). Since January 2007, I have been working for a GSM, GPRS, UMTS and HSDPA operator in The Hague, The Netherlands, for optimizing SQL queries, adapting Perl scripts to new requirements and creating user-friendly dashboards for supporting the Radio-Frequencies department. My hobbies include video games, reading with a keen interest on science-fiction and fantasy, and (French and European) politics and computer-related legal issues.
