I have been teaching technical and professional communication at New Mexico State University since 2000. Before I came back to teaching, I worked in industry as a technical writer and editor, principally in Information Technology, for 16 years, having worked for various companies in California and Texas. In addition to my professional life, I am also involved with several volunteer activities:

• I am an ordained Soto Zen Buddhist priest (Rev. Go Zen) in the Zen Center of Las Cruces (http://www.zencenteroflascruces.org/hhline.html).
• I serve on two Boards of Directors, that of the World Transhumanist Association (http://transhumanism.org/index.php/WTA/board/) and that of the Institute for Ethics and Emerging Technologies
