The Editorial Council of Citizendium has appointed us as a committee with a remit to review Howard Berkowitz’s current editorships in light of questions that have been raised about the merits of allowing him to retain them .

It would l help us greatly if you could let us have your answers to the following questions, citing examples where appropriate. We are making this request to each of Howard’s fellow-editors. We will not disclose your replies to others without your permission.

1. Have any of Howard’s contributions to articles failed, in your opinion, to meet the standards that you consider appropriate to Citizendium ?

2. Has Howard’s advice to authors ever been contrary to what you consider to be advice that is appropriate to a Citizendium editor?

3. Has Howard’s conduct in his relations with authors ever been contrary to what you consider to be conduct that is appropriate to a Citizendium editor?.

4. Has Howard proposed the approval of an article that you considered to be unsuitable for approval?

5. Has Howard opposed the approval of an article that you considered to be suitable for approval?

6. Has Howard’s conduct as a Citizendium editor been, in your opinion, contrary to the interests of Citizendium in any other way?
